UAE: Vaccines are mandatory for live events

As the United Arab Emirates continues to achieve its vaccination goals, the country imposed that vaccinations against COVID-19 will be mandatory for people attending all “live events” from June 6.

The policy applies to all sports, cultural, social, arts exhibition, activities and events. Dr Farida Al Hosani, spokeswoman for the state health sector, said people will be assessed to ensure that they meet the criteria for a third dose.

Speaking at a weekly coronavirus briefing on Tuesday, Dr Al Hosani said the evaluations will be carried out through pre-appointment services.

The country pushes a vaccination campaign which has consistently been one of the fastest in the world and now top globally when it comes to vaccination rates.
