UAE facilitates the evacuation of more than 20,000 refugees flee from Afghanistan

The United Arab Emirates continously facilitating the evacuation of people from Afghanistan

UAE’s Deputy Director of Strategic Communications, Afra Al Hameli, shared on a tweet yesterday that 20,522 foreign nationals from Afghanistan has safely evacuated by the UAE in the wake of the Taliban regaining control of the country.

The UAE had facilitated the evacuation of 12,022 people, mainly nationals from the UK, US, France, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Poland, Spain and Mexico.

In addition, a total of 8,500 foreign nationals have utilised UAE airports or aircrafts since the beginning of August.
